Compilers
MinGW	The Mingw32 port of GCC and related tools. This compiler is used to build all of the executables on this site.
CygWin	Another port of GCC to Win32 from Cygnus Solutions. Uses a separate DLL to provide an emulation layer for UNIX functions. Useful for quickly porting UNIX applications to the Win32 environment.

Audio Codecs
Xiph.org	Xiph.org is the home of the Ogg Vorbis audio codec, which is a new multi-platform, open-source, patent-free audio encoder.
BladeEnc	BladeEnc is one of the original "free" MP3 DLL's, based on the original ISO source. Due to patent claims, BladeEnc is distributed in source code form only.
Lame	Lame is one of the fastest encoder DLLs around. Although originally a patch against the ISO source, the ISO source has been completely replaced and is now a complete encoder of its own. Due to patent claims, Lame is also distributed in source code form only.
